先前因一曲〈Loretta〉在網路上爆紅的加州獨立樂團 Ginger Root，近日推出新歌〈Loneliness〉亞裔主唱兼導演 Cameron Lew 再次延續掀起話題大熱的成功方程式，將前張 EP《City Slicker》主打的復古 City-pop 日系元素再度投入音樂及錄像，並預告收錄在下半年 EP《Nisemono》，似乎有意打造專屬「姜根」的偽日式宇宙觀。

Ginger Root 是由身兼導演、音樂製作人 Cameron Lew 領軍的一組音樂企劃，因多部復古詼諧 MV 接續發佈佐以獨特風格獲全球獨立樂迷的矚目。2021 年正式發行 EP《City Slicker》，宅氣雄厚的 Lew 正是受到我們先前多次介紹的 Toro y Moi 所啟發，成為全球獨立音樂復古浪潮下的一顆耀眼新星。

曾自述風格為「Aggressive elevator soul」、從 2017 年成立至今的 Ginger Root a.k.a 姜根早在三年前就上過國際現場側錄節目 Audiotree Live 演出，台灣落日飛車、大象體操等也均曾於此登場表演；發行過不少專輯並加入廠牌 Acrophase Records 的他們亦是西岸獨立音樂圈中小有名氣的存在，在這邊特別推薦給喜歡歐美獨立樂團的各位！
